Paris Day 1!

Bonjour Guys!

Well, all of you who follow me on Instagram  and Twitter will now that this week I am in Paris!! I am here for Paris Fashion Week, the amazing sights, the amazing food and off course the Shopping!
Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, every corner you turn is another beautiful building or land mark and I am loving every minute. Some of the best fashion writers and bloggers are from Paris and were inspiration for me in starting my own blog, so for me this place is a big deal!
But now down to Fashion, dressing and styling looks in Paris is pretty hard as everyone is so stylish (seriously) but I have loved putting looks together and hitting the streets.

Today's post is my look from day one, I was in the Marais and Lourve districts and heading to the Pascal Millet show so I wanted a day look that still had a stylish edge.

Jumper-H&M, Trousers-Primark
Handbag-Mango, Shoes-Newlook
Necklace-Primark

I was being greedy and trying to tie 2 trends in one here, dusky pink and check/plaid but I think it works really well.
Tartan/checked trousers were on my absolute wish list for my Autumn wardrobe and I was glad to find them in black and white as it means I will be able to pair them with other looks easier.
The jumper is a steal from H&M, there knitwear this season is fab, you have you take a look.

A Model's work is never done!

Highlight of the day/week/year meeting Bryan Boy and Rumi Neely!

And just a couple of shots of the city itself (more to come)

Well, I hope you like my Parisian look and stay tuned throughout the rest of the week for more updates from the City of Style.
I am off  now to get ready, we are heading to the Beef Club for dinner and then on for Cocktails, so must dash!

(Au Revoir)

Happy Wednesday!

Autumn/ Winter 2013 Trend Report!

Hi Guys,

As we are now well and truly out of the Summer season, it is time to start planning our new Autumn/Winter wardrobe and so I have put together a rundown of my favourite new trends to see us through the cold winter months!

I tend to struggle in the transitional fashion periods, like January/February and August/September when you are still wearing the old season pieces and have not fully introduced your new one and so I get really excited when you can finally focus on the current trends and embrace the new styles.
I have said it before I am more of a summer person that winter, I love the sun, however every Autumn when the coats, chunky knits and boots hit the high street I get soo excited about saying goodbye to my sandals.
This season is no different, there are so many amazing new trends and pieces I want, I can't wait to get styling!

Plaid and Punk
Givenchy and Saint Laurent

This is probably one of the hottest trends of this season, all things check, tartan, and plaid mixed with leather, chains and biker boots, it is grunge gone glam!
It was seen all over the catwalks, Saint Laurent really setting the trend alight with gorgeous dresses and shirts while Versace, brought us PVC and spikes with more of an edge. And Mulberry's checked coats are perfect winter warmers.
This is a really easy and accessible trend to get involved in, as you can wear it in so many different ways, tartan trousers, leather mini skirts or even a plaid scarf, it is the one to wear this winter.
It is also all over the high street too, Topshop, River Island, American Apparel and Newlook all have great pieces to key start the plaid party!

Dusky Pinks
Carven, Marc Jacobs, Mulberry, Jonathan Saunders

Without doubt the colour of the AW13 season is pink. But not the neon bright colours we have seen over the summer months, no now it is all about the dusky sister of the pink family. Beautiful baby doll and pale pink hues were everywhere and should be the colour you consider when you are shopping for your winter coat. (Primark have some amazing pink coats, so be sure to check them out)
I love this colour and have already hit H&M to buy a couple of jumpers, they have got such a great selection of light pink knits if you don't want to go the whole hog with the coat, but how ever you do choose to wear the colour, just make sure you do- a winter must have!

Berry's and Blues
Gucci and Mulberry

In complete contrast to the pale pinks above, dark Gothic Berry's and blues were major players on the catwalk. It somehow just seems right to embrace those gorgeous jewel tones when the weather gets colder and dark berry lips with also be a big deal in the beauty stakes too.
I literally am in love with Gucci's plum dresses they are so elegant and am on the look out for a high street version!
There was also lots of Navy and blue colours coming through which is a really nice update on all the black we will no doubt all be wearing and navy is a colour that looks good on all hair and skin colours, so we don't just have to rely on the LBD this winter!

Well, I hope you like my fashion rundown and I would love to know what trends and pieces you are most excited about wearing this Autumn?
I am sure like me you have been loving New York and London Fashion Weeks so far? It seems strange looking at such gorgeous summer pieces when I have just put it all away, but that's the craziness of the fashion seasons!
But all my focus is on Paris now, I am just one week away from going to one of my favourite places in the world and my fashion planning is in full flow. I did a huge haul yesterday, which I will do a post on this week for you, so you can check out what I have been styling for my trip.

Anyway, that' enough rambling for now, happy new Autumn Winter Shopping!

Happy Sunday!

Back to Reality- The start of Autumn

Hi Guys,

Well, firstly apologises for the fact that it has been over a week since my last post! Things have been very manic here and I have been struggling with the old blog/work balance recently, which has been stressing me out, but I am now back and in full gear for September and today's look is for me the start of my Autumn wardrobe.

Parka- Huk (A Manchester store)
Trousers- H&M, Blouse-Primak, Boots-Newlook
Hat-H&M, Sunglasses- ASOS
Bag-H&M

When I officially bring out my boots, we have changed seasons, I will wear my sandals foe as long as is physically possible, but the weather in the past 2 days has just been too bad and the boots have come out from hiding in the depths of my cupboard!
i love cobalt blue, is id such a bright stand out colour whatever time of year and is set to be a big trend this season.
These trousers from H&M are favourites of mine, they fit really well and hold their shape even after a couple of wears. They look great styled down like this with my parka and boots, but they also look fab teamed with heels and a dressier top.
After putting this look together I am actually getting excited about my new season wardrobe, and getting my coats, jackets and knitwear on the go. I hope you like this look, and please stay tuned for the rest of my Autumn Winter styles! And some exciting trend posts which I have got coming up too.

The best bit about September for me is all the fashion weeks, I am  glued to the live streaming of New York at the moment and London is only a week away too. But to be honest, all my focus  is on Paris fashion week, because I am going and am literally too excited for words. I am in the middle of planning my outfits and I will not lie it is pretty stressful, my wish lit is growing by the day. I will try and do a blog post on my "Paris Outfits" for you guys too if you would like to see it?

Hope you, like this look and have had a good start to the week!

Happy Monday!
