Helmuting the New Season

Hi Guys,

I was so excited to wake up this morning and see the sun shining! It makes such a difference to how you feel, don’t you think?
So, it saw me turning to one of my favourite tops from last summer, my Helmut Lang dip hem blouse. It is lightweight and more importantly white, which is the colour I need to be surgically removed from at the moment.

Jacket- Miss Rebel, Blouse- Helmut Lang
Trousers- H&M, Necklace- Topshop, Bag Primark
Bracelet- Topshop, Boots- Newlook
Nails- Barry M Gelly High Shine Blackberry

I have teamed this with another wardrobe favourites my H&M print trousers, that I mentioned in my January Wish list post here (link post) these are perfect for dressing up, dressing down and are really comfy and only £14.99! If you have not been into H&M recently pay them a visit their range of print trousers and chino’s is fab.
And I must mention my new Topshop necklace with the little pop of neon oranges, yellows and pinks, which I am loving to just pick up a look that is missing a bit of colour. A bit like White, I am not needing any excuse to wear neon right now.

I hope you like the look and I hope your weeks are going ok so far? Can’t believe it is Wednesday already. Been filming some new video’s for my You Tube Channel over the past week, so they will be up very soon for you to check out.

Would love to know how you are styling now the weather is getting a bit better? Are you loving neon’s too?

Happy Wednesday!

Oscars Red Carpet 2013 Best and Worst Dressed!

Hi Guys!

Well, it is the morning after the biggest night in Hollywood- the Oscars! Katie and I had our annual Oscar Party, got in the nibbles and fizz and cast out critical fashion eye's on the amazing parade of dresses from  a array of A List ladies . It really is one of the most exciting fashion nights of the year, and as always their were some stunners on display, but surprising enough for us the best dressed were not the key winners like Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence, but their fellow nominees and presenters that shone.
So it is time to go over the "Logan" low down on the hits and misses from the Red Carpet!

Best Dressed Winner

 Naomi Watts in Armani Prive

When Naomi stepped out, both Katie and I let out audible gasps. This metallic dress has everything for me, the wow factor, a stunning cut that flatters the figure and a necklace detail that was like no other last night. Naomi has looked great all awards season, but this is going out on a high!- A triumph.

Shimmering Stunners
Metallic's was a big trend of the night, these ladies below were sparkling!

Halle Berry in Versace
Stacy Keibler in Naeem Khan
Sandra Bullock in Elie Saab
Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli

Light lovelies
It was not just metallic's doing the rounds, there were some beautiful light shaded numbers.

Charlize Theron in Dior
Jessica Chastain in Armani = Old School Hollywood Glamour!
Naomi Harris in Vivienne Westwood

Kerry Washington in Mui Mui

Black and Beautiful
Black continued to be a trend,as it has been all award season. And these ladies nailed it!

Adele in Jenny Packham- Love that she wore a Brit designer!
Samantha Barks in Valentino = For a 1st Oscars this is Wow!

And after the big event itself, it's the After Party, and the glam stakes were high here too!

 Amy Adams
Jennifer Lawrence
Rose Bryne
Diane Kruger
Naomi Watts- That's right she gets 2 best dressed!

And, I am sorry, there has to be a worst dressed list, and these were our picks.

 Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen
I love McQueen, I do and this dress is beautiful, but for me this dress was not right on Amanda. The neck line was loose, when she sat down and the colour drowned her out, compared to her Zac Posen dress at the SAGS this did not do it for me.

Kirsten Stewart in Naeem Khan
Kirsten actually looked awkward in this dress and the hair was "bed hair" gone too far. I am sorry, but I  was not a fan.

Heidi Klum
Right, I know you should empathise your assets, but this too much. Those boobs, were on show, and it just ended up looking a bit tacky. Not your best Heidi.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the red carpet as much as us and I hope you like our picks. I would love to know what dresses you were loving too? Do you disagree with these choices?

Hope your Monday has been ok and I will be back with an outfit post tomorrow.

Happy Monday!

Cocktails and Dreams!

Jacket- Vintage, Dress- New Look, Faux Fur- H&M
Clutch- Primark, Necklace- Topshop, Boots- New Look, Ring- Bought in Portugal
Nails- Essie Master Plan, Barry M Glitter, Bracelets- Miss Selfridges

Hi Guys,

This is a look I wore for a night of cocktails in London. I do love a good Martini and glass of bubbly, but I am quite old skool and always like to get a bit dressed up when I go out for them.
I adore white clothing, literally adore it. I would love to claim I was being very "off the moment" as it is a major trend this season, but I am not. I love white even when no one else is wearing it, it for me is soo classic and chic and every colour sets well with it. So you can imagine my delight with all the white dresses, tops and jackets on the high street at the mo, I want it all.
This dress is so comfy, it has loads of stretch to it and although the camera has not really picked it up, it does have slight metallic thread through it to. It one of those dresses that you can wear glammed up with heels and then more toned with boots, a all rounder!I teamed it with my current fav vintage tweed jacket and big metallic clutch, and was really happy with the overall look. What do you think? Are you loving the white trend too?

I hope you are having a nice weekend? I am literally building my weekend around the Oscars tomorrow night. Sad as it might sound, but I LOVE the red carpet, me and Katie has a Oscar Party every year, with fizz and nibbles. I can't wait to see what everyone will be wearing, I hope their are some bold moves and couture dresses. I will be tweeting throughout the whole event here, so come and join me for a the fashion parade! :-) Red Carpet starts from 11.30pm, so get involved.
Well, I will go and get back to the Kitchen, I am attempting to be a domestic goddess tonight, I must say the key word there is attempt! Have a good one, whatever you are doing.

Happy Saturday!

#LFW in Pictures

Hi Guys,

This post is just a picture round up of my time at London Fashion Week. To be honest, it could have been about 5 or 6 separate posts, but I figured we will be all #LFW out very soon, so condensed it all into one picture post.

LFW Sign, Outfit day 1, Waiting for Zoe Jordan, Somerset House Courtyard, Topshop NEWGEN, Sister by Sibling
Goody Bag from Zoe Jordan, Huishan Zhang, Outfit Day 2, Tickets for Bora Aksu, JW Anderson NEWGEN Bagde, Maarten Van De Horst
Finale to Bora Aksu, Topshop NEWGEN bages, More NEWGEN designs, Cocktail break, Zoe Jordan Finale

It really was an amazing few days, and it is not till you are back and you look through all the pics that you realise how much you have seen.
I was really lucky to have been asked to the Zoe Jordan and Bora Aksu shows, they were both soo gorgeous, but really different.
Zoe Jordan was full of whites, black leathers and pops of colour in very classic and simple cuts. While Bora Aksu was alot more about the detail with stunning dresses and skirts that had the most beautiful lines, celebrating the female body. I am sure it is not the done thing when you are at fashion week but I let out a few "wow's" as the models walked past, because they all looked so amazing! If you want to see the full shows click here

One of my favourite parts of being at Somerset House is being able to go to the Topshop NEWGEN exhibition. Each year Topshop always celebrate the best of new talent in the fashion industry that later go on to be major league players, like Holly Foulton and JW Anderson. This year was no different, and I think my personal fav was Sister by Sibling, with it's crazy neons leopard prints. And I got to choose a badge from one the NEWGEN designers, which was really hard. Ok, slight overstatement, but still hard. I went for JW Anderson's anchor one in the end.

Overall, the experience was fab and it was made even better by meeting some lovely fellow bloggers that I love too.
I hope you like my pics, and I will be getting back to normal outfit posts from tomorrow.

I hope you are having a good week? I can't wait for the weekend, cos I am soo excited about the Oscar's on Sunday night. Here at Logan's Runway we having a Oscar Party for the big event. Me and Katie will be armed with chocolate and snacks to see us through the fashion parade. So be sure to check in on Twitter during the red carpet for our yeahs and nays from the night.

Happy Thursday!

#LFW Day 2

Jacket- Miss Rebel, Jumper- H&M, Skirt- Glamorous
Boots- NewLook, Bag- Primark, Sunglasses- Vintage
Necklace- H&M, Ring- Topshop
Nails- Essie Master Plan and Barry M Glitter

Hi Guys!

Here are the pictures from my Day 2 at London Fashion Week. It was wonderfully hectic as normal, but I did find some time to really have a proper look around the exhibitions in Somerset House, like the TopShop NEWGen designers, which I will do a full review of in my next post.
But for the outfit I chose the newest and most coveted piece in my wardrobe, my neon jumper from H&M.
This is part of the new season collection and is all over the press, so you have probs already seen it. I love it, against the White Glamorous peplum skirt, I think neon and white go perfectly together don’t you think? Well, to be honest I am just loving anything neon and bright at the mo, so I am maybe biased.

My time at Fashion week has been amazing, but it has seriously introduced me to new levels of tiredness, then topped up with a weekend of partying = very sleepy Laura.
It was my Twin sister Katie and I's birthday at the weekend and I had the best time, all my closest friends and family came for a house party and we just danced the night away to 90’s/early 00’s classic tunes and a lot of fizz and it was too much fun!
But it was all too much for me and so I have not been able to look at the blog until today, so apologies for my absence. I must on a separate note put up a picture of our Birthday Cake that our bestie Linz made for us, it was a chocolate dream, she should actually be a chef!

Well, I hope you have been having a less sleep deprived time than me, and are having a good week. The rest of #LFW has been fab and I have been live streaming all the shows I can, I loved Burberry yesterday!

I will get all my exhibition and Show pics and video’s up over the next few days, so I hope you can drop in and check them out. It still feels so lovely to be able to go to events like this and I go a bit over board on the camera front, so some serious editing needs to happen before I post for you! :-)

Happy Tuesday!

#LFW Day 1

Waiting for the Boru Aksu Show to start!

Coat- Vintage, Trousers- Primark, Blouse- H&M
Necklace- NewLook, Bangle- Topshop
Clutch-Miss Selfridge, Heels- NewLook

Hi Guys!

Well, as you will know Today was day one of London Fashion Week! I have had a fab day going to the Shows and mooching round Somerset House checking out all the other amazing fashions that were on parade! And these are just a few pics of the outfit I chose for the occasion.
As you can imagine it is quite stressful picking out what to wear to a Fashion Week, I am the kind of person who over thinks what to wear to work, so this was a challenge, but a good one!
I am loving the monochrome trend this season , so opted for my black slouchy trousers and H&M blouse, but I wanted to lift it a bit with a pop of neon in my beloved necklace that is now a firm wardrobe favourite.
I was really happy with the finished look and more importantly I was comfortable, which is a must, as it is a really long day. Which I know sounds silly, as it a fantastic experience and don't get me wrong, I love it and really appreicate every moment, but I am exhausted tonight!

I was lucky enough to go to 2 shows today the Zoe Jordan show, which was the opening show of the event and then the Boru Aksu show at 11am which was amazing. I have lots of pics and video's of these, so will write a separate post on that for you, so stay tuned. I also ran into some lovely fellow Bloggers which is always a big perk and checked out the celebs hitting the Frow, like Kate Nash, Mollie King and the MIC crew!

Well, I hope you are looking forward to the weekend? I am very excited, as I am back to Somerset House tomorrow to go round the Exhibtions, which I will also blog on to and it is my birthday! So tomorrow night me and Katie are having a party with our closet friends and I can't wait to see everyone.
Have a great time whatever you are doing and be sure to check in tomorrow for more from #LFW

Happy Friday!
