Christmas Party Series Post 2- Accessories!

Hi Guys!

Hope you are not frozen or soaking from all this ridiculous weather in the UK this week? I have need a wetsuit and thermals all in one!
So in an attempt to drag myself back into festive mood, I have put together the next instalment in my Christmas Party series. Today it is all about the accessories (which I might argue are the most important part of the outfit!)
So you have picked the dress, now it's time to finish it off in style.....here are a few suggestions!

1) New Look
2) Topshop
3) Accessories
4) Miss Selfridges
5) Miss Selfridges
6) Accessories
7) Topshop

1) Miss Selfridges
2) Next
3)Topshop
4) Miss Selfridges
4) Topshop
5) New Look

For me the styling of an outfit is the best part, that is when you are able to give something your own stamp and make it unique.
You could work into the a room in the same dress as someone else, but if you have killer shoes, bags and jewelry on it will make it look different.

This is a great year for glitz and glam and if you are wearing jewelry with your party look then it will have to be statement! As much sparkle and colour as you can find, as you would expect Topshop and Newlook have amazing pieces at 2 ends of the price spectrum, so no excuse for not blinging up girls!

Well, I better get going, I am off to a blogger event tonight, which I am really looking forward too, I love meeting up with some lovely fellow bloggers, having a few champagnes and feasting my eyes on some new clothes! I will be posting on the event in the next couple of days, so be sure to check it out.

Hope you like my picks and are looking forward to the weekend!

Happy Thursday!

Jacket- Miss Rebel, Snood- Topshop, Shirt- Forever 21
Chinos- Primark, Hat- H&M, Bag- Primark,
Boots- Viva La Diva, Ring- Newlook, Necklace- Topshop
Nails- OPI  The Spy Who Loved Me ( Bond Collection)

Hey Guys!

As you will know if you follow my Twitter here and Instagram here   I went back up home to the Lake District this weekend to see my Mum and Dad.
I love getting back as much as I can, it is really nice when you are in a big city day in day out to get away and chill and be looked after. I swear I come back about 2 stone heavier every time I leave!
(And as we are going into the busiest time of the year it was nice to have a recharge)

As I was just out and about doing some shopping and mooching around, I just wanted a really casual look and went for my burgundy Chino's that have been an essential part of my Autumn/ Winter wardrobe. They are perfect when you feel yourself leaning towards plain old jeans to perk up an outfit.
Mine are from Primark and I they are fab, they wash well and hold there shape, so if you are looking for any head there first!
Also it has been so cold this weekend, so full hat and snood were never far from my side- I may have to opt for inside photo's if this keeps up! :-)

Well, I hope you are not having too bad a Monday? I have sooo much on this week, Work is hectic and I have 2 blogger events that I am really looking forward too, so not sure when I will have time to properly start my Christmas shopping...ekk!
Hope you like the look and stay tuned for more.

Leather Loving!

Skirt- H&M, Top- Primark, Necklace- Primark
Boots- Newlook, Ring- Topshop, Bag- Primark
Nails- Nails Inc- Motcomb Street

Hey Guys!

Here are some pics from my work wear look today. I am lucky working in a fashion marketing office that we do not have to wear suits and typical office attire. Don't get me wrong there is a no jeans and trainer policy but it does give you some stylistic freedom which I love.
Today I was busy haring around the building in meetings, so I always go for comfort on days like that. So I once again turned to my slouchy long sleeved top, which I can not stop wearing, I love burgundy this season it is so warm and brings colour to every look.
But my favourite piece is my leather skirt from H&M, believe it or not it is soo comfy it has got a stretch to it so it moves with you, but still keeps a great shape and tucks in around my bum! I have loved the leather trend this winter, it is so versatile, you can wear dressed up dressed down and I mostly like clashing it with relaxed style like this slouchy t. If there was one item I would recommend buying at the moment it would be something leather, you will wear it all the time!

Well, I hope you are all ready for the weekend? I am heading home to the Lakes to see my Parents and starting to get into Christmas mode, so really looking forward to that. I will be posting over the weekend, so be sure to drop in am check out my next look!

(And I wanted to wish a Very Happy Thanks Giving to all my gorgeous American followers, I hope you all have an amazing time and I am thankful for all of your support! xx)

Happy Thursday!

Christmas Party Series: Post 1- Dresses!

Hey Ladies!

Hope you are all well and having a good week so far? I have been busy, but have found time to go to the Christmas Markets her in Manchester already, so have a mulled wine and German Bratwurst obsession for another year! However it has helped me get into the Christmas spirit, which is not hard, as I love the festive period and any excuse for a bit of Christmas cheer and I am there!
So with this winter glow all around, it is the perfect time to launch my Christmas Dress Party series. Over the next 4 weeks I will be posting on the my top dresses, make up, nails and accessories to get you party ready in style!
I may be a dramatic fashionista, but the dress that you wear to your work, school or college Christmas Party is very important, it is that one night in the year to go all out and be as glamorous as you can be and let everyone see a different side of you, out with the day to day norm. I know it is a topic of conversation in our Fashion Marketing floor from about October, so it is really important to make sure you put the time in a pick the right one, as the worst thing you can do is look back and regret how you looked at these events. (you can't always control what you do when the alcohol takes over, but at least you can look fabulous when you are doing it!)

So, where I begin every year is to look at the trends and styles that are out on the high street, and start to section them off into groups, which helps to focus my mind, as it can be a minefield to just wander the shops picking up things you think you like. If you hit the shops knowing what trend/style you are looking for it just makes it so much easier.
This winter there are some gorgeous dresses out there, lots of which are perfect for party season, as one thing is clear from this years high street glam is the order of the day!
After a lot of research I have narrowed my search down to the following trends:
Leather, Luxe, Sequin, Lace and Peplum and below are my top picks from my hours of fashion detective work!
Hope you can pick a favourite?

    Leather
Fashion Union £20, L2 Mae Harlow Dress from Little Black Dress,
Miss Selfridge £45, Topshop £65, Newlook £45.99, River Island £50

Lace
Dorothy Perkins £50, Topshop £50, Topshop £32,
River Island £32, Dorothy Perkins KK Kollection £50,
Misguided £34.99
Luxe
Dorothy Perkins KK Kollection £45, Topshop £46, River Island £120
Motel Rocks £55, Newlook £24.99, Fashion Union £15
Sequin
Misguided- £39.99, Motel Rocks- £58, Mango- £79.99,
Misguided- £39.99
Motel Rocks- £58, River Island £60, Misguided £45,99
Peplum
Missguided- £24.99, Dorothy Perkins £45, Fashion Union £5,
River Island £32, Motel Rocks-£45, River Island £50

Out of all the styles around the shops this season these are my favourite for a Christmas Party. I really think that each of them would look amazing and what I love it that they are all such a mix of prices, so whatever the budget you can look and feel fab! I especially am loving Misguided, Motel Rocks and Fashion Union's party collection. Including the famous £5 Fashion Union dress- Yes £5!
But it is always important to not just choose a dress on how nice it is, one of the most important factors is comfort, as you want to be able to strut your stuff, but still being able to breath and bust some moves on the dance floor!

Logan Runway Tip- Always have a dance around in your changing room when you try on a dress to get a feel of how well you will be able to move in it!

I hope you like my picks, and like me are looking forward to putting your outfit together for the big night!

Will be back with a new winter work outfit post in the next of days, so stay tuned.

Happy Tuesday!

    Bag-Primark, Earrings- Topshop,

Hi Guys!

Hope you have all had lovely weekends? I have had a very chilled out time, compared to the party antics of last week.
Today has been such gorgeous winter weather, the Sun was shining all day and even though it was a bit chilly   you just had to get out and enjoy it. These pics are from this afternoon, when we headed out for a nice Sunday walk and a bit of the mooch around the local shops, ( in an attempt to get Christmas present ideas) and then we rounded it off by catching up with some friends for a coffee which was lovely.
So I decided that comfort was key and I have been loving this dip hem top from Primark, I have it in 3 colours and I can not stop wearing it. I looks great with all of my leather and wet look leggings and is too comfy for words. With these I wore my all time most loved boots with the slouchy leg, I have had these for years and they just keep coming out every winter and they always look good. Do you have pieces like that, that you know you just can never part with?
But, my favourite part of the outfit today was my chunky sliver necklace, which just took the look from comfy and snug to give it a bit of style. It is great for wearing day or night.
You will have noticed that putting on a statement necklace on has been my go to look for these season, I love it.

Primark have had the best selection at such a great price, it has aloud me to get a nice collection going.
Here are just a few of my favs that I have bought in the last month of so are all still in the shops if you like, and none of which has been more than £8 which is just very very good fashion maths!
My Neckcandy Lovelies!

My search for my dress for my work Christmas party has stepped up a notch this weekend, and I have spend hours online looking at all the different styles, there are so many this year! So I now have my picks for the first in my Christmas Party series and will be posting on Tuesday, so be sure not to miss it.

I also was very excited to be featured in Grazia's fashion blog love this week, with some of my fav bloggers, so if you want to check that out the link is here:

It is always so lovely to be included in features like this, especially when I am in such good company!

Well, I am off to hit the sofa and continue my chilled out weekend, got a busy week ahead and a couple of blogger event to go to, so will keep you posted on these. Hope you are chilling out too!

Happy Sunday!

Winter Coat Styling!

Coat- New Look, Faux Fur- H&M, Owl Top- H&M
Skirt- Primark, Belt- New Look, Shoes- Topshop
Earrings- Primark, Clutch- Topshop, Nails- Barry M Jelly Hi Shine- Watermelon

Hey Fashionista's!

Hope you are all having a good week? It has been really hectic for me, so it has gone really fast!
I wanted to get some pics up of my winter coat style, as most of the looks I post are indoor or without a big coat or jacket, so as we are now fully in winter mode and it's so cold outside I wanted to show you what I was wrapping up in.
This coat is over a year old, but I just love it. It is a classic black coat, boxy at the shoulders which is fab for creating a great silhouette and most importantly it keeps me warm.
I most confess to being really flippant about winter coats and have struggled in the past to find the right style and as a result have spend a lot of money each winter on a new one.
However when I bought this coat last year I knew it fit me right and I love it with skirts, jeans, leggings everything really. New Look always have a really good selection of Coats and Jackets in lots of great styles. And I have updated it with my faux fur wrap which I really love against the black, these wraps are everywhere this winter, H&M, Primark and River Island have some fab options for very little cost.
One of my favourite looks of the catwalk for the AW12 season was the Burberry collection and this is my celebration of that!
What have been your fav winter coat styles this Autumn?

Well, I hope you have nice weekend planned? I am having a very quiet one to get over all the chaos of last weekend! But I will be posting the 1st in my Christmas Party series, so if you are in full party planning mode, be sure to check it out!

Happy Thursday!

First Christmas Party Dress!

Hi Guys,
As this is the first official week of my "Christmas Party" series, I thought it would be perfect to kick it off with some pics of the first of my party nights of this season.
It was my and Katie's House Warming weekender, and I chose to wear this stunning white Fashion Union dress that would be fab for any Christmas event and Katie went for a skater skirt and sparkle detail top that had a bit more of an edge.
What do you think?

                    Dress- Fashion Union
    Clutch- Primark, Shoes- Newlook
Nails- Essie Bordeaux, Lips- Mac Cyber

Shirt- Fashion Union
 Skirt- Missguided , Shoes- Newlook
Bracelets- Forever 21 Earrings (Clip on's)- Claires

I love getting glammed up so for me Christmas Party season is all too exciting, picking out the perfect outfit, and as strange as it may seem I love the whole process, so when Fashion Union kindly sent me this beautiful White dress I knew I would definitely wear it to my first party night.
I loved the detail around the neckline of the pearls and the lace it takes the classic prom dress style and gives it a bit more elegance, while still being bang on trend. And as you will know if you read my blog regularly that white is my all time favourite colour of dress!
I wanted to show you the profile too as the skirt is fully lined and filled with netting that puffs out the to give you a great shape.

I was also sent the gorgeous detailed blouse that Katie chose to style with a skater skirt that looks perfect on her pear shape figure and is a great alternative to a dress.
Katie loved the fact that the blouse had the pearls and sequins all over the top rather than just the collar, like so many of the shirts out there.
It was so nice on a night out as it catches the light and sparkles round the room!

Fashion Union have some gorgeous party wear pieces at very purse friendly prices that you should really check out as a great online shopping alternative.

I hope you are all having a great week? I am still pretty tired after my fun filled weekend with all my closest friends, but it was completely worth it.
However now I am moving my attention fully to the big work Christmas do, so keep posted this week for my first post on first big decision the theme! Which we now girls it where it all begins!
And I have got a big announcement that I can hopefully finally fill you in on that I am very excited about!

Happy Tuesday!

Jacquard Trousers!

Peplum Jacket- Miss Rebel, Top- Newlook
Jacquard Trousers- Primark, Shoes- Primark
Bag- Newlook, Ring- Topshop,
Necklace- Freds ( Chorlton based Shop)
Watch- Daniel Wellington
Nails- OPI "The World is not Enough"

Hi Guys,

Hope you have had a good week? apologies for the lack of blogging this has been a weird week and I can honestly say I can't believe it is Friday tomorrow! I was ill and stuck in bed for the start of the week and then had a computer malfunction yesterday, hence why it has taken so long to get this post up!

Anyway enough of my rambling on, I am really glad to finally be showing one of my favourite looks for this season, Jacquard trousers!
I really love this style of trousers, it is a really flattering cut for a pear shape, as they are shaped around the waist and then are tailored to just flow down the leg in a straight line and don't come in tight at the ankles. I know trousers are not something people reach for, jeans, skirts and dresses are normally the first stop in a wardrobe, but this season they have had a revival and there are some great versions out there. As you would expect Topshop and ASOS has some gorgeous pairs, but  could not believe that the pair I am wearing were only £16 from Primark!  Such a bargain and I love the gold print, it ticks of the metallic trend too, good fashion maths people! And had to team it with my ever faithful peplum top and jacket, what do you think, have you been loving trousers this season?

Well, I have got a really busy but very exciting weekend ahead, I have got lots of my friends coming to stay for the weekend for a house warming weekender. I can't wait to see everyone but now doubt it will be pretty messy! However I am wearing my new Fashion Union dress, so will defo get some pics to show you guys!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Weekend!
