Hi Guys! I finally posting my Festival fashion picks, it feels like I have just been doing outfit posts recently, so wanted to get back to some styling ones!
Festival season is offically back and there have been some fab (all be it) raining weekends so far, Isle of Wight and the Hackney Weekender, but there are plenty more to come, so I decided to pick out my fav peices to see you through!

I know, festivals are all about the music, but for me your festival wardrobe is just as inportant to gurantee a great time, as if you feel and look good, you have more fun!
Last year I went to Rock Werchter in Belgium and literally had the time of my life, it was amazing, and it taught me a few things about festival packing that I will share with you now.

1) Less is more- don't pack 3 or 4 different pairs of shorts, just take 1 maybe 2 and then mix it up each day with different vests and t shirts.
2)Layering is key, in case it gets chilly later, always be able to add another top, or jacket or even waist coat, like the River Island one above.
3)Don't get stressed about the hair situation, you just have to go with, I packed plenty of dry shampoo and took some wireless curling tongs just to help create the loose festival curls
4)It is all about the accessories, you could wear the same shorts, wellies and parka everyday, but if you spice up your look with different bold accessories, your outfit will still look fresh! (and they take up less space than clothes!)

Well, I hope you like my picks, and I hope you are all having a lovely weekend? I have a busy weekend of ahead, working on a big work project and the very fun job of going to one of our closest friends little boys 1st birthday party- I am very excited about this!
I will be posting some more of my holiday buys in the next few days and finally getting round to showing you my new Helmut Lang shirt, that I won from Glassworks and Motilo in a styling competion.

 Anyway, Happy Weekend!

The LWD!

Dress- New Look (Giles Deacon Collection)
Earrings- Bought in Calella, Wedges- New Look
                   Ring- Topshop, Bangles- Various

Hi all, here is another holiday outfit post, this is my old favourtie white dress that I bring out for every trip as I love it with a tan. It is comfy and cool so timeless I will be wearing it (if i can still fit in it) in 20 years!
White is my absolute favourite colour of dress, I have about 5 white dresses and counting I just think it is such an bold colour to wear, so you can imagine my delight when the LWD hit the catwalks for SS12.
To be honest my love of white is not just contained to dresses, I love tops, jackets and shirts, it is just soo chic!
Right, white love in over. I hope your week is going ok, and you have had more of a reason to wear your summer clothes! I am now past the stage of caring about the weather, I am wearing my sunny peices regardless, otherwise they just might not get worn.

We are now officially in festival season too, I am really gutted this week as this time last year I was getting ready to go to Rock Werchter in Belgium and so I am very jealous of anyone going. But to get me in the mood anyway I have picked out my top festival fashion picks and will be posting this week so stay tuned!

Happy Mid Week!

Barcelona!

Skirt- Stradivarius, Top- H&M, Bag-New Look
Scarf- Stradivarius, Sandals- Primark, Ring- Miss Selfridge

And a final photo of my very stylish Dad, who was my travel partner for the day! In the gorgeous La Quinze Nits in La Placa Reial, we had the most delicious meal, would highly recommend!

Hi Guys, well as you will see these are the photo's from my fantastic time in Barcelona!
It was not a tourist day, having been to Barcelona quite a few times before I have done all the big sites, so this was a day just a perfect opportunity to just mooch about and stroll round all my favourite spots and capture some wonderful pictures!
I really do think that the best why to get to know a city is just to walk around it and Barcelona is a great place to do it and it is where you find hidden gems tucked in the back streets!
La Rambla, Gothic Quarter, The Harbour and El Corte Ingles were my hounding grounds and I was able to do some fab shopping! (I will do a post on all my Spanish purchases very soon)
I hope you like my pics and let me know your fav hot spots from Barcelona and I can check them out next time I'm there!

I decided to wear my new skirt from my new fashion fav Stradivarius, as I knew it would perfectly with my print top, and in all that sun I felt drawn to bright colours!

I hope your Monday has been ok, It was hard being back in work and not lying out by the pool!
I will be posting more holiday looks over the next few days, so stay tuned.

Happy Monday!

Greetings from Spain!

Hola Guys!
This is a very quick post from sunny spain! I hope you are all having a great week and the weather is not too bad, looking everyone's tweets and facebook it sounds like it's nice!
It has been wonderful here and I am loving the little town we are staying in, Calella. It has some really fab little squares, churches and real tapas restraunts, with ham's hanging in the window ( a Spainish deal breaker for me!) And the shopping is fab!! I always like to do a little bit of shopping when I am on my hols, so I have something to keep to remind me of all the places I have been, but to honest in this holiday, I am having to reign myself in!
And the main rehason for this post to share with you my new fashion find, a Shop called a Stradivarius, it is a like a Mango or Zara, but really reasonble in price and it has some stunning pieces, the scarfs were a personal fav of mine! It is based all across Europe, so please let me know if you already know it and love it too!
I went in today and bought a gorge apple green skirt and peach scarf, but I will be back for more before I leave! I love when I discover new shops and it has a wonderful online site too, so please check it out!

Well here are the pics of my purchases today and just one of me at the pool, showing of my OPI coral toe nails!
I will go now and get sorted, we are heading to watch the England vs Ukraine Euro match tonight, so it could either be a good night or disapointing as usual! But I am heading into Barcelona tomorrow and can literally not wait, it is one of my top European Cities for shopping, so I just a little bit excited! I will take lots of photo's and will do a post asap!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!
Happy Tuesday!

Black and Tropical!

Dress- ThunderEgg, Wedges-New Look
Earrings- Primark, Ring- H&M, Bag- Primark

Hi Guys, I hope you are all having a good weekend and not too wet after all this rain! It has been so rubbish and depressing for this time for year! Although I should not really complain as I am flying out to Spain tomorrow, so hopefully it should be nicer than here!
So, I thought I would post the last of my Portugal holiday photo's tonight before I jet off again.
This was one of the favourite dresses that I found for this summer, from a local shop in Manchester Thunderegg, it always has such great pieces that are just a bit different from the normal high street. If you can go out an check out the independent retailers in your area you will always find hidden gems!

I loved the pattern, tropical prints have been huge this season and they looked great against the black. Another big plus of this dress was the fact that it kicked out below the waist, this is a good style for me as am a pear shape, so coming in at the waist and then kicking out over my hips is best! As soon as I saw the dress I know that I could team it with my yellow bag as it picked out the yellow in the dress perfectly.

Well, I will go and finish my packing, there always seems to be so much to do the night before you go away. And I have been trying to keep up with all the Shows from the London Collections, there have been some great pieces so far, the Topman show yesterday was fab (just hope I can kit my Boyfriend in it next spring!)
I will be posting next week when I am away, so stay tuned for more outfit posts and my Barcelona photo's!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend and either curl up with a good film or hit the shops, best thing to do in this weather!

Happy Weekend!

Highlights of the Week in Fashion!

Well, it has been a while since I posted a highlight of the week feature, but with it being such a busy week in the world of fashion I felt the need comment on all the exciting news!
The big stories this week is Designer-High Street collaborations! This is always a huge interest to me as I love designer collections and would love to be dressed in them everyday, but I am (for the most part) a High Street/ Online/ Vintage fashion girl, so when the designers come together with the High Street Brands it is fab! As it allows us regular fashionista's to get our hands on some beautiful pieces that will be in our wardrobes for years!

We have already had Karl Lagerfeld with Net-a Porter and Marni for H&M this year and now this Autumn Winter we are going to have JW Anderson for Topshop and Martin Margiela for H&M! #excited

JW Anderson will be hitting the shops in September and will be a range of denim, outwear, jersey and his famous knitwear, and the area's of the shop dedicated to the collection will have objects such as pencils, Rubik's cubes and photography books to fit in with the designs. I love when a designer really puts their stamp on a collaboration and you really feel that is is an extension of the full designer range, but accessible for all! Yeah, I know it is hard to think of winter knit wear now, but it will make the cold months a bit easier to bear!
I have loved Anderson's collection for the last couple of season's he was the king of the print trouser at the SS12 shows and his paisley PJ style outfits have been everywhere. And I was a big fan of his NEW GEN exhibition at this years London Fashion Week, and his T shirt design for Topshop's NEW GEN range, he really is Derek Zoolander style "so hot right now!"

                 JW Anderson SS12 Collection
Anderson's Topshop NEW GEN Fashion Week T Shirt

We will have to wait a bit longer for the H&M and Margiela collection as this is not due to hit the High Street until the 15th November, but in true fashion PR moves they have got us all excited with an teaser video of the designers at work!

This is a lot more a "out there" meeting of minds, as Margiela is know as a Design House to be very bold and radical and not main stream fashion trends, so it will be fascinating to see what pieces they will present us with. It will be Women's wear, Menswear and accessories, so there will be plenty to feast out eyes on. I like that H&M are making a daring move in this collaboration, although they will still make the collection "fashion for all" but using such a unique designer we are guaranteed to get truly interesting pieces!

So all in all a very exciting week for us fashion loveies, plus the Men's fashion Week that are due to start this weekend it really is all go!

I am really busy too, I feel like I am literally just getting back into being home from my last holiday and I am going on another! On Sunday I am flying out to Spain with my Parents for a complete and utter chill out holiday and I can't wait, not that I did not love my girly break but it was a bit more hard core than this will be. We are staying on the coast outside Barcelona so I will definitely be heading there to do some shopping and tapas eating! I love Barcelona, it has such a great vibe and I will hopefully be able to get some great pictures for the blog too.

I hope you have all had a good week and have nice plans for the weekend? It feels like it has just flown in, but at least it is Friday tomorrow and we will be heading out in Manchester's Northern Quarter to watch the England, Sweden Match in the Euro's so that should be good way to blow off steam after a long week!
Well hope this post has not been to long and wordy, will also be posting my top festival fashion picks very soon too so stay tuned!

Happy Early Weekend!

Top- H&M, Shorts- Select, Shoes- Primark
Necklace- Vintage, Ring- Miss Selfridge, Bangles- New Look

Hi Guys, Hope you all had nice weekend? And are ready for the new week, this is the next instalment in my holiday wardrobe!
I loved this look, the shorts were soo comfy and perfect for heading out for a night on the town on the holiday! This season I have loved the bright peach and coral colours this season, they perk up every look and also look great with a tan.
But, the top is the real hero is the look, from H&M it was only £9.99 and will be a go to vest for not just shorts and skirts on holiday but jeans and trousers throughout the Summer. This swing style is great as it is fitted at the top but kicked out around the waist which makes it easy to wear.

Hope your Monday has been ok and if you have watched the England France Match in the Euro's you are not too downhearted!

Happy Monday!

Neon Nights-First holiday Outfit!

A few pics from round the pool!

My holiday reading!

Dress- Primark, Clutch- Dorothy Perkins, Wedges- New Look
Necklace- Primark, Bangle- Vintage

Well, it feels so great to be back on the blog! I have only been away a week and yet it has felt like an age!
I have just got back from the most amazing holiday with my girls in Portugal, it was fab, not laughed so much for a long time, I don't know what it is about being away with your friends that is just so exciting, we have literally been like big kids and getting up to all kinds of silliness in the sun!

But, I am really excited to be posting my fav looks from my trip, as you will have seen from my video last week, I think long and hard about what I take on my holiday and I was determined to get a neon dress. It looked great with a tan and really stood out in the lights of the clubs and bars!
The best bit about this dress was the price at £13, so we can all embrace the neon bright trend this summer without breaking the bank. Dressing for summer hols is so much more fun than just your normal wardrobe, so it is good to have fun and wear bold colours!

I hope you like my look and you all had fab long bank holiday weekends? I will be posting more pics of my holiday looks throughout the rest of the week, so stay tuned!

Happy Friday!
