Hi Guys!
This is just a quick outfit post from today. Funnily enough both me and Katie were rocking the shorts and smock look and it was perfect because it has been soo hot here in Manchester!
Smocks are fab at keeping you cooler, as they are baggy and loose and just fall over shorts really well.
I have been waiting to wear my H&M paisley pattern top for a while, you will have seen it everywhere, mags, adverts and online it was one of the main pieces in H&M summer campaign and I loving wearing it, a good summer buy!
Katie's smock is an oldie but a goodie that we picked up last summer and was fab for festivals, it is always really important to dig through last years clothes pile before heading out and buying all new stuff, you always find some treasures!

I hope you are all loving this weather and are probs out sunning yourselves rather than reading blog posts!Let me know what looks you are wearing in this heat, as we are jetting off on holiday on Friday and more summer outfits ideas will come in very handy!

Well, I will head back out to catch the rest of the days sun, will be posting my fab new Helmut Lang shirt that I won from my Motilo/ Glassworks Studio styling competition tomorrow, so you can let me know what you think of my purchase.
For now, enjoy what is left of the weekend!

Well, I can not believe the weather we are having at the moment, it has been so hot in Manchester, it has almost felt like being aboard! I have been loving it, I am such a summer person. I prefer summer clothes, food, and mostly people's attitude, everyone is friendly in the nice weather!
So, this has been perfect prep for me to write up my final instalment in the Summer Holiday Style Challenge!( and I am writing it sat on my balcony in the sun!)
This week it is Accessories, probs the most important part of any summer wardrobe, as you can wear them with so many different looks, and on holiday I always like to be really bold with my accessories, go a bit wild! There have been an amazing selection of pieces out on the high street and online this season, so really if you hit any major retailer by you they will have some great finds for you, but I have done some digging across all my fav online and street fashion stops to high light some of my personal top picks!

I choose these items really with me and my girls in mind, We are jetting of to Portugal next Friday so I really sat and thought about what practical pieces I always take on my hols, as I have said in the previous summer style posts, it is all about maximising your space in the suitcase and so if you pick the right bags, necklaces etc that can be worn more than once you will be on to a winner!
Which is why I have chosen going out bags with straps, I love clutches they are fab on a really glam night out back home, but on holiday you just want to dance run around and generally have fun without worrying about holding on to your bag! And the same with scarfs, don't take one for every bikini, find one that picks out colours of a couple of your suits, that will save on space too.
I hope this has got you in the holiday mood and you are ready to hit the shops and start buying! This weekend is d day for me and Katie, we will get all our outfits picked out and clothes ready, and I am going to post a video of our outfit packing to give you some more holiday hints and tips! I hope you will like this and if so I can look to doing more vlogs on here.

Only one more day to go and then the weekend!- yeah! Hope all have lovely things planned? Let me know what you think of my picks!

Start of Summer!

Shirt- Huk ( Independant shop in Manchester), Skirt- Primark, Wedges- New Look, Belt- H&M, Handbag- H&M, Bangles- Various

Shirt-Primark, Trousers- H&M, Necklace- Topshop, Ring- Topshop
Bracelet- Primark

Well, I am sure you are as excited as me about this good weather, today was gorgeous and the perfect opportunity to get out some real summer clothes! Working in a office is often hard in the warm weather, as you just want to throw on your shorts and crop tops, but you have to be a bit more restrained. (even in a fashion office!)

So, today I opted for a print floral skirt and bright sheer blouse and my new fav wedges. It was just the right balance of colours and patterns and then I added a neon belt to finish off the look, it was really comfy and great for the meetings I had today.

Katie was also getting her summer favs out, these chino's have been staples of hers all season, and I love the pattern of the shirt, it sits really well against the burnt colour of trousers.

It is so nice to finally enjoy a spell of nice weather, it makes outfit planing every night lots of fun! And it ties in with the summer accessories style challenge I will be posting this week!
I will also be choosing my picks of the Fabulous fashion from the Cannes Film Festival. I love Cannes, I have been there 4 times during the festival and it is a really special place and so I am always so excited to see what is worn on the red carpet and this year has been especially wonderful, so check in for that!

I hope you like the looks and your enjoying this sunny week too!

Outfit of the Week!

Hi Guys!

Well, a lot seems to happened since the last post on Friday! I have ran the Great Manchester 10k Run with my sister for a wonderful local charity Talbot House- a support service for parents and Carers of people who have learning disabilities. This was the 3rd year I have entered the race and once again, I loved it!
I also found out that I came second in a Motilo styling competition for an Americana look and have won £250 of vouchers for Glasswork Studio's (which I will do a separate post on very soon!)

So all in all a very busy time, but I was really excited to put together my Outfit of the week, as this weeks winner is a fantastic online boutique called Shop Rebelle, that I recently discovered from one of my favourite bloggers Frassy!
The site has a gorgeous collection of funky on trend pieces that are perfect for this season, that have an quirky edge, I love it when I find a new fashion site and spend ages going through all the items, so it was easy to pick this weeks look....

Sunglasses 20 Euro's, Jumper 52 Euro's, Necklace 15 Euro's
Handbag 292 Euro's (Sam Edelman), Trousers 170 Euro's
Sandals 88 Euro's (Marais)

I built this outfit around these amazing trousers- I know that I have been going on and on about print this season, but honestly I can't get enough! I decided to keep the rest of the look really simple and use the sunglasses and sandals to give it a pop of colour- I love this bright orange it is so bold and sunny. The necklace is really quirky and fun and really sums up the Shop Rebelle style, overall I think this look is fab for all this good weather we are about to have! what do you think?

I have attached the link for Shop Rebelle, and Talbot House, both very different but I hope you can check them both out!

 http://www.shoprebelle.com/en/

I am soo excited that the weather is going to be nice and sunny this week, I can finally start to wear my summer wardrobe! So will be posting some outfit posts this week and my final Summer style Challenge, so stay tuned!

Happy Monday!

Metallic's and Slouchy Chino's!

Chino's- No Angel(Independent shop in Manchester)
Jumper- Primark Shoes- New Look, Sunglasses- Primark
Necklace- Bought in Greece, Bag- New Look

Well, I can't believe it is Friday already, this week seems to have flown by! This outfit was from Wednesday, when it was nice and sunny in Manchester, and I decided I have been living in prints too much lately so opted for my favourite peach chino's and metallic jumper.
These slouchy chino's have been perfect for all this in between weather we have been having, I got mine from a little fashion shop in Manchester's Northern Quarter, but they do have them in nearly all the high street shops this season. I would recommend having a pair in your wardrobe as they are always good to through on when you are not sure what to wear!
I have loved the fact that metallic's have carried over into the summer months this year, normally I am putting them away after Christmas, but they look fab with pastels and neons- don't you think?
However the star of the outfit is my necklace, that I have had for literally 7 years! I bought it on a girly holiday with mt best friends in Kos, so there are so many memories attached to it. I always try to buy a piece of jewelry whenever I go abroad, so I can wear something of where I have been!

I hope you all have lovely weekends planned?
I am gearing myself up for the Great Manchester Run on Sunday, so look out for the pics of me and my Friends looking very red faced!
Also, as you will know Keith Lemon gatecrashed my friends Nikki and Stu's  wedding and filmed with us all day back in March- well it is on Keith's Lemonaid this Saturday night, so we are all heading round to the new Mr and Mrs Ballie's to watch it. ( I am sure it will be very funny!) Hope you can check it out!

Happy Weekend!

Brave Soul Blog Event!

Hi Guys,

Tonight I have been to a really lovely blogger event for a new British clothing brand Brave Soul. They are an online exclusive brand that have both Women and Men's high trend fashion and really affordable prices.
I had been really impressed with the website and some of the pieces, and to come and see it first hand it did not disappoint.
There is a fab range of on trend prints, colours and styles that are really wearable and assessable for every wardrobe. I was like a big kid going through the rails, trying to pick my favorite of their current season stock.
We were also lucky to have sneak peak into the AW12 collection and there are some major knitwear pieces that I will definitely be coveting this winter!

Here are my pics of the night, my partner in style Katie came too, and like me loved the range

Me having a mooch!

Katie checking out next season's collection
                                                                         The Mens!

What I liked most about the collection was the wearablity of the designs, these are great everyday items that you will go for time and time again. The tie dye top was a paticular fav of mine, but at the moment anything tie dye gets my vote!
Speaking to Angela Robinson, the Project Manager at Brave Soul she expressed that the wearabilty was a key part of the brand and making clothes that were on trend and affordable, but not sacrificing on quality.
I think they have really achieved this and it was lovely to meet all the team and some lovely fellow blogger too! That is one of the great things about these events, getting meet new fashion minded ladies!

I hope you like the pics and please do go and check out the site, I am sure you will want to stat buying!

Can't believe we are over the halfway point of the week, had such a busy time! But, nearly finished my final installment to the summer style challenge, this week is my personal fav accessories- so be sure to look out for it and hope you have good couple of days before the weekend!

Happy Wednesday!

Print Trousers Trend!

Jacket- H&M, Trouers- Primark, Top- New Look
Shoes- New Look, Hat- H&M, Bag- Viva La Diva
Necklace- H&M, Ring- Bought on holiday

Well, what a day! It has been a very big day in Manchester, as Manchester City have won the Premiership in the last minutes of extra time to beat Manchester United! So to be fair today has been dedicated to football not fashion and living in Manchester City Centre has made it even more exciting!

However last night I was out for an amazing meal with my Boyfriend and my Mum and Dad at a new French restaurant called Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote, it was literally one of the nicest steaks I have ever had and would recommend it to anyone.

I was really excited to be able to finally wear my print trousers
from Primark. They were such a bargain, I love this trend and was searching online and on the high street to find the right pair and to be honest I had not even considered Primark, so when I popped in for for mooch around the accessories I was delighted to find these. They are soo comfy, just like PJ's so perfect to eat out in, and I really liked the animal print.
I will be going to buy a floral pair now too, as they will be great to wear right through the summer and even on holiday. H&M and New look have some great options, so think that will be my next purchase.

Like the print leggings I wanted to keep the top half simple to let the trousers do all the talking, but couldn't resist adding my floppy hat to finish of the look.

I hope you have all had nice weekends and like my look? I can't believe it is back to work tomorrow. Got to get my head down and train this week as next Sunday I am running the Manchester 10K for a local Charity Talbot House, so will be hitting the gym!

Style Challenge Summer Holiday Shopping Part 2!

It is time for part two of my Summer Style Challenge, and this week it is all about the Dress! For me the dress is probably the most important part of the holiday shop as it is the perfect way to get glammed up for a post tanning day night out!
And the beauty of dresses is there are styles to suit every shape and size, which makes them even more versatile and can be worn day and night whiter it is hitting the beach or bars.
For the last couple of summers I have worn little casual day dresses as beach cover ups and they have been perfect, I always hit Primark for these as it they are really well priced and you don't get stressed if you get sun tan lotion and sand all over it!

For this style challenge, however I have focused on 3 types of summer holiday dresses that are bang on trend for this season  Neon, Maxi, and Short!
Here are my picks....

Neon
Cut Out Dress- Topshop £46
Skater Dress- Miss Selfridge £39
Tunic- H&M Conscious Collection £59.99

Maxis
Floral Maxi-Miss Selfridge £42
Red Maxi- River Island £20
White Maxi-Topshop £95
Feather Print Maxi-River Island £25
Leopard Print Maxi- Topshop £28

Short (prints and colours)
Tie Die- H&M £14.99
Chili Print Dress- Glamorous £29.99
Print Tunic- H&M Conscious Collection £14.99
Peach Cut Out- Missguided £25.99
Fringe Dress- Topshop £75
Spotty Dress- ASOS £46
Tribal Print Dress- River Island £20
Floral Dress- Boohoo £20
Pleated Dress- Glamorous £40.99
Animal Print Dress - Boohoo £20

It was really hard to try and narrow down the search for this challenge, there are so many great summer dresses, but my big decider for every outfit is would I wear it? And I would wear these!
I think my fav dress trend this summer has to be the Neon, this will look the best with a tan and can be styled up with some really bold and daring accessories!

I hope you like my picks and I hope you are all ready for the weekend?(I know it was only a four day week, but it has felt long!) I am going out for a meal with my boyfriend and Parents tomorrow night and think it will be the perfect time to try out my new print/ pj trousers, so keep checking in for my outfit post, and my final instalment of the Summer Holiday style challenge!

Happy Weekend/ Happy Shopping!

New Tropics!

(apologies for the grainy photo's not sure what is wrong with my camera!)

Hi Guys, I hope you are all having a good week? I am still reeling from the excitement of the Met Ball on Sunday night, it was a dress overload and I loved it. If you haven't checked out my best dressed yet scroll down after this post - defo worth it!
This outfit post was from Saturday night, I was heading out for drinks with the girlies and decided to wear my new Tropical top that I am crazy about! I know I have been going on about print all season, but it just creates the best and most current looks.
And the best bit about this top is it was only £10 from Primark! So on trend and a bargain, that is how I like it!
I teamed it with my most worn item this season, my Boohoo Wet look leggings, as I have said before if you have a lot going on up top, try to keep the bottom half simple to let the top really do the talking.

I can't believe it is Thursday tomorrow, this week has flow by and I am really looking forward to the weekend. My Mum and Dad are coming down to see us and we will be shopping, eating and drinking nice wine, I hope you all have nice weekends planned and you like my outfit, let me know how you are wearing prints?

I will also be posting my next instalment in the holiday shopping style challenge so keep checking in for that!

                                                               Happy Midweek!

Met Ball 2012 The Dresses!

Last night saw the world of Fashion come together in their finest for the annual Met Ball hosted by fashion legend Anna Wintour.
This years ball was in celebration of two very special Italian Designers, Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada in a wonderful showcase of both of their work and the affinities between them.
The link to the exhibtion is here, it's really worth a look!

http://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/listings/2012/impossible-conversations/about-the-exhibition

And is the perfect excuse for the the who's who of celebrity to work with their favourite designers and have bespoke dresses made for them for the world to see. It is one of the biggest nights in the fashion calendar and I have been so excited to see the collaborations! I was keen to see if the colours and styles we had seen at the Oscars would return, and if the AW12 collections would make an appearance. White and metallic were once again very popular and there were some stunning examples, Ashley Greene was a vision. But, what I loved was the use of colour on the red carpet, and as you will see below, there was plenty of bold choices!

So after a lot of debate, here are my winners of the night!

The Colour Queens!

                                                                        Karlie Kloss - Jason Wu

                              Emily Blunt - Calvin Klein

                            Dianne Kruger- Prada

                                                            Solange Knowles - Rachel Roy

                   Kristen Wig- Stella McCartney

                     January Jones- Versace

                         Hedi Klum- Escada

                          White Wonders!

                  Ashley Greene- Donna Karen

Claire Dannes- J.Mendel

Amy Adams- Giambattista Valli

Shimmering Stunners!

                      Leighton Meester- Marchesa

                      Jessica Alba- Michel Kors

                     Carey Mulligan- Prada

                    Camilla Belle- Ralph Lauren

                      Gywneth Paltrow- Prada

                   Dree Hemmingway- Topshop

And like every red carpet event, there has to be some losers.... and for me the following stars just did not look there best!

Rachel Zoe- ( in her own design)
For me, there was too much fringing and not enough body! Rachel's small frame could not really carry the fringe effect off, it felt like it was weighing her down. But I loved the dark lips and statement necklace!

Kristen Dunst- Rodarte
I normally am I big fan Kristen Dunst, she can do quirky really well and has had some best dressed nods from me in the past. But this look does not do it for me, I feel like it is not tailored enough and the skirt could be more fitted to enhance her fab figure.

Kristen Stewart- Balenciaga
I know I am in the minority, but I am not a fan of Kristen Stewart's look here, the shoes are cutting off the length of her legs and the spilt panel across the tummy does not flatter.

                   Dakota Fanning- Louis Vuitton
This colour does not suit Dakota, her lovely pale complexion looks pasty against the grey. I love to see her in bright and bold colours.

                    The Stand out Divas!

                   Beyonce Knowles- Givenchy

                                                              Alexa- Just Alexa!

Stella McCartney-(In her own design )

Well, that is my round up, I hope you like my picks and agree with me that was a great year for the fashion event! Going through these fab frocks has cheered up my Tuesday and first day back in work after a lovely long bank holiday weekend!
I will be posting my weekend outfits very soon- so stay tuned!
